The People in Law Awards bounced back spectacularly as a live event – with nearly 400 people turning up for the glitzy show on May 5th.
The evening, at London’s Tobacco Dock, included drinks, dancing and dinner (including a delicious deconstructed cheesecake). In the awards, Pinsent Masons scooped the Grand Prix and there were wins for Addleshaw Goddard, Kingsley Napley, Clifford Chance, TLT, Shoosmiths, Mills & Reeve, Clyde & Co, Shearman & Sterling, Shakespeare Martineau, BDB Pitmans and Ampa.
Individuals from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Macfarlanes and Taylor Wessing were also recognised.
The evening was presented by self-styled German comedy ambassador, Henning Wehn – a stand-up famous for appearances on TV shows such as Would I Lie to You, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out of 10 Cats. His introduction, delivered in his inimitable accent, set the tone for a relaxed but lively evening.
Event co-organiser Fiona Wilson said: ‘It was great to be back in real life after two years hosting a digital event. We had more entries in more categories than ever before. We’re already looking forward to organising next year’s celebration.’
