We care about people management in law firms
Our members include over 800 professionals and more than 120 law firms across the UK, from the Magic Circle to small, independent practices. We aim to be a focus for best practice in people management, generating insights, sharing ideas and helping members to develop their skills.
We regularly organise events in London and the South West. Our annual conference, held in central London, is an opportunity to network and hear the latest from an array of top thinkers and practitioners.
Alongside Professionals in Law, we founded the HR in Law Awards in 2015. Now known as the People in Law Awards, they remain the leading platform for recognition of people management excellence across the sector.

Regional groups
People in Law has two thriving groups – one in London, the other in the South West
London group
The London steering group is responsible for creating a clear vision, formulating plans and policies to achieve our objectives, leading and inspiring, ensuring compliance with policy and law and monitoring budgets. All steering group members are responsible for organising and hosting the events in their region.
South West group
The South West group is now well established. Sarah Cook from VWV chairs this group and they are responsible for organising events throughout the year. Do take a look at the calendar of events to find out what is on offer over the next few months. If you have any ideas on topics that would interest you or would like to be part of this group, do feel free to speak to one of the steering group members directly.
