Rob is a commercially astute, performance driven and experienced head of recruitment with extensive knowledge of the legal (and professional services) recruitment market. A member of the Talent Development Leadership team, Rob delivers exceptional stakeholder management skills, adapting approach and service according to needs and striving to add significant and measurable value aligning to the overall strategy of an organisation.  

Rob is a creative resourcing strategist with the ability to provide cost effective recruitment solutions within what is a constantly changing, challenging and competitive market. Rob has strategic and operational responsibility for Taylor Wessing's Partner recruitment together with all fee earner, professional staff and early talent recruitment. Rob trained and qualified as a lawyer with a leading international law firm together with having a background in legal head hunting.  

Rob is a champion of diversity and inclusion in recruitment and strives to drive positive change in the industry, and in particular, how Taylor Wessing goes about recruiting its talent.

Laura McNair

Head of HR & Operations Recruitment, Totum

Laura heads up the team that recruits across all disciplines that sit in the HR & Operations area such as Recruitment, Learning & Development, Reward and HR Operations as well as playing a key role in the recruitment of broader positions in general management (such as Directors of Administration, Chief Operating Officers, Heads of Operations, Business Managers and Practice Managers).

Laura has over 15 years’ experience in recruitment, most of which has been focused on the legal and professional services sector. She has enjoyed watching firms adopt more specialist and sophisticated roles to enable them to succeed in an increasingly competitive market. She prides herself on the great personal relationships she has built up over many years that transcend boundaries. In an area where clients often become candidates (and vice versa), there is no ‘us’ and ‘them’; it is working in partnership that counts most.

Sarah Pearce

Head of Lateral Recruitment, UK and International, Trowers & Hamlins

Sarah has over 19 years' experience as a legal recruiter and has spent the last five of those working in-house for Trowers & Hamlins leading a lateral recruitment team.

Sarah is responsible for all partner hiring across the UK, Middle East and international offices, as well as supporting fee-earner hiring in the London and international offices. 

Lloyd Stephenson

Global Director of Inclusion, Diversity and Recruitment, BCLP

Lloyd Stephenson joined Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (BCLP) in 2021 in a newly created role, responsible for BCLP’s global I&D and recruitment strategies, advancing the firm’s portfolio of award-winning inclusion and diversity initiatives and continuing to develop and enhance the firm’s recruitment efforts to attract the best talent.

Lloyd joined from Ashurst LLP, where as head of diversity and resourcing, the firm won a number of recruitment and diversity awards. Before entering the legal industry, Lloyd served in several senior HR roles for Barclays, including managing resourcing across Wealth Management, Personal and Corporate Banking covering 8,000-plus lateral, temporary and early talent hires. He previously worked in both executive search firms and financial services businesses.
